1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Plumbers Bible (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated from Australia and is subject to Australian law.
2. Nature of Service
Plumbers Bible is an AI-powered tool that provides general plumbing information and educational guidance only. It does not provide professional plumbing advice, engineering advice, certification, compliance verification, or access to official standards documents. The Service uses artificial intelligence which may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
3. Not Professional Advice
Nothing in this Service constitutes professional plumbing advice, engineering advice, or legal advice. You must consult a licensed plumber and/or your local regulatory authority before relying on any information provided. The Service is not a substitute for professional judgement, on-site assessment, or compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. AI Limitations
This Service uses artificial intelligence which may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. AI systems can generate errors, omissions, or “hallucinations” that may appear plausible but are incorrect. You accept full responsibility for verifying any information obtained through the Service before acting on it.
5. Subscription and Payment
The Service offers a 7-day free trial period. After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription at the then-current rate (currently AUD $15 per month).
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
6. Official Standards
This Service provides original educational content. It does not reproduce, distribute, or provide access to copyrighted standards documents including but not limited to AS/NZS 3500 or any other Australian or international standards. Users requiring official standards should purchase them from Standards Australia.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of Plumbers Bible exclude all liability for personal injury, property damage, regulatory non-compliance, failed inspections, financial loss, and any consequential or indirect loss arising from use of this Service. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and to a refund for the unused portion; and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems rectified in a reasonable time.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to circumvent payment or access controls; using the Service for unlawful purposes; redistributing content generated by the Service as professional advice; or interfering with the operation of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing use of the Service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
